Business Development Specialist
Job Location: Alexandria, VA
Job Duties:
Seek and provide information to help the company determine its position in
the travel and transportation industries. gather data on competitors in the Washington, DC
area and analyze their prices, sales, and method of marketing; collect and analyze data on
customer demographics, preferences and needs to identify potential markets for the
company’s transportation and travel services; monitor statistics in the travel industry and
follow trends in trade literature; measure and assess satisfaction of the company’s
customers and the effectiveness of the company’s marketing programs and strategies;
establish and maintain relationships with travel agents and tour operators to increase
customer base and market share.
Requirements: Position requires Bachelor’s Degree, or foreign equivalent, in Marketing
or Hospitality Management. Position also requires at least 24 months of experience in
the job offered or in the related occupation of General Manager. The required xperience
must include a minimum of 12 months experience in a company that provides travel or
transportation services.
